Home Defense
Planning

A firearm in your home is only as effective as the plan behind it. We come to you, assess your space, and build a comprehensive defense plan your entire family can execute.

All Homeowners2–3 Hours On-SiteIn-Home Consultation

Overview

Most home invasions are over in under 90 seconds. In that window, your family's response — not your firearm — determines the outcome. A practiced plan gives you a decisive advantage. A panicked reaction, no matter how well-armed, often doesn't.

This service is an in-home consultation that results in a written, customized home defense plan specific to your property, your family composition, and your realistic defensive capabilities. We don't hand you a generic checklist — we walk your home, identify the specific threats and vulnerabilities, and build something you can actually use.

The plan we develop together can be integrated with the tactical shooting skills you've built in our defensive pistol courses, creating a complete system rather than just isolated skills.

Services

  1. Threat Profile Development
Who is likely to target your home, what they want, and how they typically operate. Understanding the realistic threat — not the worst-case movie scenario — informs better decisions about where to focus your preparation.
  2. Property Walkthrough & Threat Assessment
A systematic walk of your property — exterior and interior — to identify entry points, sight lines, choke points, natural barriers, and vulnerabilities you may not have noticed. We look at your home the way an intruder would.
  3. Defensive Position Mapping
Identifying the strongest defensive positions in your home for each likely scenario. Where to hold, where to move, and what routes provide cover vs. concealment. Annotated floorplan delivered after the session.
  4. Safe Room Designation & Setup
Selecting and configuring your safe room — the fallback position for your family in a worst-case scenario. What it needs, how to communicate from it, and how to make it as defensible as possible.
  5. Family Response Plan
A written, age-appropriate plan for every member of your household. Who does what, where they go, how they communicate, and how the plan changes based on where the threat enters. Children's roles and communication covered in detail.
  6. Deterrence & Early Warning
Lighting, landscaping, camera placement, alarm systems, and low-cost improvements that make your home a less attractive target and give you more warning time. What actually works vs. what just looks good.
  7. 911 & Legal Considerations
What to say when you call 911, how to describe your situation, and what to do and not do before law enforcement arrives. The legal framework for defensive use of force in your home under Texas law.
